However, issues arise when this field documentation needs to be transferred to a central office for QA/QC and subsequent submittal to management or client. This is what we refer to as ‘Data in Transit’: Data that is sitting on the field personnel’s phone, notebook, and or clipboard. Facilitr’s mobile application —available for iOS and Android — turns smart phones into mobile scanners, allowing the user to upload paper documents directly into the facility’s database; one touch from origination to upload and filing. Field information is captured and uploaded as structured documents for easy retrieval and viewing.
The elimination of document management for field-generated information achieves three benefits:
Uploading a document into Facilitr is as easy as attaching a document to an email, but even better, because the uploaded document is directly filed with the facility information and is immediately available for viewing by authorized users, including management or clients. The days of using Outlook as a compliance DB are gone.
